I visited Knoxville in a business trip for two weeks, before traveling, I called the hotel and asked them if I can pay my stay fees with cash and not with credit card (for business reasons) and they confirmed that I can pay with cash as soon as I arrive. After arriving, the receptionist at the front desk told me that if I wanted to pay with cash, I should pay at the end of my stay and they’d hold the amount of my stay on my credit card, and so I did (I was in a hurry). second day, The general manager named Trent was at the front desk and I explained him my situation and he was very understandable and cooperative with me, he released the amount he held on my card and accepted my cash, he also wrote me an official document stating that they released the amount as my bank got late deposing the amount back into my account (took 9-10 days). So regardless the stay cleanliness, great breakfast, and location, this hotel has a very open minded understandable general manager. would stay there again if I came back.

I liked the open-ness and the way the tables were spaced from one another, so that guests had some privacy. I think the coffee air pots could be better, in that the coffee could be a hotter. The woman who oversaw the breakfast was very much on her toes and attentive to having the food area stocked. She was accommodating and didn't stay hidden in the prep room as is common in some hotels. The numerous nuts, seeds, and dried fruit stocked by the oatmeal pot was excellent. I used these on my yogurt, which thankfully was plain yogurt, and not just the over sweetened flavors usually offered. Although I don't typically like a big, hot breakfast, I did enjoy the mini quiche. And I give kudos to the person who decided to offer toaster Belgian waffles. It makes the breakfast bar look so much neater without batter and syrup stuck to the waffle grill area

This was my first time staying at a Fairfield and I was impressed. Not sure if the hotel is new or recently remodeled. Everything felt new. Everyone at the front desk was helpful and pleasant, my room was clean and had everything I needed. I especially liked that a light was on when I walked in and the tv was playing music. I hate walking into a dark hotel room! This felt like a very safe area and there’s a lot of restaurant options nearby. I also noticed that they have ice scrapers for guests to use by the front door which I thought was very nice of them to have on hand. I didn’t eat the breakfast so I can’t comment on that.

The staff was so nice, that’s where my experience (personally) starts, it defined if it will be a good place to stay. Room was clean, restroom was clean and had the usual things available like shampoo conditioner , body wash, hand soap , etc.. breakfast was good and the lady attending to the breakfast meal was very nice and welcomed us and asked if we needed anything a couple times. I would go back here and recommend this hotel

Checking in was excellent. Two employees were outstanding. They went above and beyond helping my grandson put together a toy that required batteries,, as we did not have the tool that was required. Nick and Nicota were awesome in helping us. They are both excellent employees and should be recognized. Would definitely stay there again.
